View Enlarged Patient Profile Photo
About the Feature
Currently, the patient profile photo is displayed as a small thumbnail across various Bahmni screens, such as the Patient Dashboard and patient header. This makes it difficult for clinicians to visually verify the patient's identity.
This enhancement allows users to click the patient profile photo thumbnail and view an enlarged preview.
The functionality is implemented in the shared patient photo component so that the behavior remains consistent across all screens where the patient profile photo is displayed.
Where is it Used?
The enlarged patient profile photo preview is used by clinicians and hospital staff when reviewing patient information across Bahmni screens.
It helps users quickly confirm patient identity by viewing a larger version of the profile image without navigating away from the current screen.
Benefits
This enhancement improves patient identification by making profile photos easier to view while maintaining the existing thumbnail display.
It provides:
- A consistent photo viewing experience across Bahmni screens.
- Improved usability for clinicians verifying patient identity.
The preview can be closed by clicking outside the image or pressing the Esc key. If a patient does not have a profile photo, the existing placeholder image behavior remains unchanged.
